In the most recent chapter, it was hinted that the reason why Sanji can produce flames is due to a possible connection to King's race, the lunarians. Furthermore, in regards to the lunarians, we got a juicy bit of lore from marco, when he had a flashback to whitebeard talking about a "god's land" existing above the red line before mariejois.
One thing we can say is that due to their name, the lunarians, we can assume they came from the moon. Most sky islanders also originated from the moon so this isn't a big assumption. Furthermore, these people lived in what is now mariejois but they were then destroyed and replaced by the celestial dragons. While we still are missing big pieces, it is very likely that the lunarians lived in the ancient kingdom itself or at least part of it.
Germa 66 is a very unique kingdom as it is known for its advanced science. Most of the one piece world is living in a technological state similar to the real life Golden age of piracy(1650s-1730s), futuristic science only exists due to the members of MADs. However there is one other source of futuristic science in the one piece world, both the ancient kingdom and the moon people(as seen from the enel flashback) are portrayed to be highly advanced, with the moon people outright having robots.
So if Sanji is lunarian, maybe it isn't through sora's lineage that this bit of sanji's ancestry comes from. Perhaps Judge and all previous germa kings share lunarian blood and the germa kingdom itself descends from the lunarians. This is why their kingdom is so advanced. Judge alone didn't turn germa into the science empire that it is, it was passed down through decades by Judge's lunarian ancestors. Judge just made the final step, with him uncovering the secrets of lineage factors with the MADs group.
One thing you can notice with the other members of the monster trio is that all of them have a parallel in the void century. Luffy parallels to Joyboy and Zoro parallels to Ryuma. So, what if Sanji's void century parallel is the lunarian who founded Germa? Sanji being the only member of germa who can produce flames naturally clearly signifies that he is to inherit the will of one of his lunarian ancestors, whomever that might be.
Lastly, I think one major foreshadowing for this reveal was judge's epithet. Judge was called "The Garuda", and garuda is a hindu god who is often portrayed as a human bird hybrid, a man with giant wings and a beak.... almost similar to King.
anyways let me know what y'all think.
