Controversial One Piece's Problems are because of Japan's Toxic Work Culture, not Oda

That has literally nothing to do with with problems with one piece.

Problems with one piece is that Oda introduces a billion fodder characters, focuses on fodder instead on important character and does not progress things at all. Just running around and characters doing gags instead of serious character progression.

That has nothing to do with tight schedule, if anything it's the oppposite.
Oda has too much freedom, otherwise he would be rushing and focusing on important characters instead of literally focusing on filler.

Okay, I got it. Oda draws 20 pages instead of the required 5 because he doesn't have enough time due to the toxic work culture in Japan. I think that I, who cannot remember the last time I slept more than 4 hours a day, should now feel very sorry for him and share my salary with him, and also ask for forgiveness.

That's not true, Finland's birthrate is falling and they don't have toxic work life
Similar problem, even a similar people, but the root cause and effect are different.

Finnish people are choosing to have a fewer children.

Japanese people are having that choice made for them by how they organise society.

Also, bear in mind, Finland is not the utopia it’s often made out to be. Having and raising children is still expensive and these are anxious times.

maybe other mangaka have this issue but not oda, oda literally goes on a break whenever he wants. If anything he has the complete problem, which is that no deadlines are placed on him. In any job we required to complete tasks in a certain timeframe. That is life for nearly everyone not just mangaka. Due dates naturally makes people more efficient and complete things on time. For example imagine if no due dates were given for assignments in school. People would just naturally procrastinate and waffle forever. If he had strict deadlines like other mangaka then he would be producing more progressive chapters.

Why doesnt he hire more assistants and make life easier? Its not like they don't have enough money. There are many folks around the world who work like slaves and doesn't earn a fraction of Oda. Imagine you are able to work on something you love and get millions in return. Thats why I am not buying this toxic work culture excuse.
Work culture clearly plays a factor but Oda is also insane. He has always been vocal about not wanting people to tell him how to write and wants to draw as much as possible himself. I think Oda is a mix of unhealthy levels of seeking fame and really low self esteem, some years ago I read about that time when he was in the hospital and took his drawing supplies along and kept working in the hospital, even asking the doctor if they'd let him leave early so he can go back to work again🙃. He also loves money way too much.

How are Finnish and Japanese similar people?

I mean, he has to be insane to write things such as Oden and his bad jokes and naked dance, Yamato and her mad worship of Oden to the point of calling herself Oden, or the wedding cake chase and most of what he has done with Big Mom.

That's your personal dislike of his writing decisions which is valid and I partly agree on but I was talking about his obviously misplaced priorities and seemingly strange personality traits. I also read about how he hid in his bed crying for a week after an editor pre One Piece serialization told him that his female characters don't look cute enough, after the week of depression he forced himself to copy cute female character designs until he could draw them to his satisfaction.
This is NOT normal and a recipe for self destruction. He compensates with the insane amounts of money he gets for his work.

Not too surprising. He surely has great qualities but also has lots of issues.

Oda's strange mind is both his greatest strength and his greatest weakness, one that allowed him to imagine such a story as One Piece and gain the success it has for so long, and also gave it the increasing flaws the manga has now, and what may prevent him from learning from his mistakes and correct them, and causes these low esteem and unhealthy coping problems.

Oda works himself to the bone unnecessarily by adding characters he doesn't need to. I doubt his boss demanded 9 Scabbards or 8 Supernova captains that all need supporting characters to make up a crew. Oda could have easily halved the number of characters in both groups and lost nothing. Then we have nothing burger characters like Urashima and Holdem that just never needed to exist along with their segments. Take early Wano for example. Luffy arrives, meets locals and Zoro, heads to Oden Castle to get sad backstory from Kinemon then Kaido arrives. How many chapters were cut? How much work was saved?

Aye, Japan has a notoriously bad work environment but Oda doesn't help himself here. I'm pretty sure the man can pick up the pacing, cut the bloated character cast and cut unnecessary work. The bloke willingly drags things out.

There are obvious overlaps in terms of societal values - respecting nature, decorum, preserving traditional arts, minimalist aesthetics - both people big on car culture, drinking culture, tech, etc. I don't known either, but apparently there are some interesting similarities language as well.
