It IS a predictable route.

But that’s exactly the problem, it’s fecking lazy. Oda basically possessed Xebec to skip any real fight or tension. Instead of showing us how strong Xebec actually was, or what Imu can really do, It’s the oldest trick in the book when a writer doesn’t know how to balance two overpowered characters.

This is truly a teletubbies manga run by a dude that is so eager for retirement and escape from Shueisha, that he might as well burn us all as collateral damage, lol.
