Very rarely were the fights with mahito about raw stats, it was about strategy which is why the fights are so good.
Look at Todo when he and Yuji fought Mahito, he couldn’t deal damage and with one touch, Mahito could kill him. However, Todo was vital in that fight because of his abilities and how strategically he used it.
DR being immune to Haki is awesome imo. It brings significant stakes back into the series
Were they really mostly about strategy though? Not all that much
His fights had good choreography but not really a lot of strategy if you break them down
Nanami vs Mahito was straightforward
Nanami and Yuji vs Mahito was straightforward outside of Yuji's smart play at the end
Mahito vs Mechamaru was also pretty straightforward outside of the cool simple domain cartridge thing
I'll give you Todo and Yuji vs Mahito
It mostly boiled down to "don't get touched, Yuji is fine though"
Domi Reversi can't really be fought strategically especially if the condition is just Imu getting some of your blood. He could do that to anyone easily
Though I'm sure there's more to it if Rocks is the only one that was reversed
