For the first time, Chainsaw Man slashes his way onto the big screen in an epic, action-fueled adventure that continues the hugely popular anime series. Denji worked as a Devil Hunter for the Yakuza, trying to pay off the debt he inherited from his parents, until the Yakuza betrayed him and had him killed.

As he was losing consciousness, Denji’s beloved chainsaw-powered devil-dog, Pochita, made a deal with Denji and saved his life. This fused the two together, creating the unstoppable Chainsaw Man. its implied from Makima looking out at her office window that she was watching Denji and Reze the entire time (from the cafe date, school, and festival). And when Denji mentioned Makima's name during his fight with Reze, Reze had a 'oh fuck' reaction, realizing that she wasn't going to be able to escape with Denji like she had said since Makima would just come track her down regardless of whether she actually manages to kill Denji.

Reze is actually still alive in Part 2 unlike Makima and her reincarnation Nayuta who are both dead, it's just that either she lost her memories or was brought back to the Soviet Union. Even Quanxi who 'died' in Part 1 came back to help Denji a bit in Part 2. Although Asa currently has won over Denji's heart more than Makima and even Reze did

I watched it yesterday as well and it was great. But I realized midway that it was just Standard so I bought a ticket for next week to watch again it in Dolby Cinema lol

Ueda Reina was the perfect casting as Reze <3

better experience than Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Part 1 for sure, especially (like Mugen Train) being a standalone arc in the manga. I do expect Infinity Castle Part 2 (especially for Kanao) and/or 3 to be on par in a few years time. A spot on adaptation of the Bomb Girl Arc in the manga with the animation, music and voice acting significantly elevating it all.

What I really liked was Ueda Reina's performance as Reze, the perfect casting choice possible for her (she also voices Kanao in Kimetsu no Yaiba so 2 major movie roles in 1 yr; coincidentally Hanae Natsuki also appears in both, Tanjiro in KnY and Beam in CSM lol).

• Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc - 9.2/10 (will be watching it in Dolby Theater next week so this rating might be higher after I watch again)
