Both Roger and Garp are out of comission after their final attack, yet both Rayleigh and Gaban are returning to the battle.

You can say that there's no one left there to battle, but Garling and the other Holy Knights are supposedly still there (at least Garling wasn't shown after this second defeat in chapter #1162). Yeah, they got folded twice, but Garling recovered once, so he can possibly do that again.

So, what do you think about it? Is Rayleigh and Gaban supposed to just rescue Roger and Garp, or will they still have a real battle?

GV is over imo. We got author saying that GV incident has been unveiled fully.

It’s over, at most we’ll get a goodbye from Rocks but imo it’s pretty obvious Gaban and Ray going back is mostly symbolic

We might get a quick note or prelude, like "After Rocks died, the world reacted in X way and Y things happened" but yeah from hereon it's back to Harald likely.
