he has it, he can hear the breath of inanimate objects like rocks that have no will inside them, something no other CoO user ever did

And this is advanced CoO because...?

(Spoiler: you can't give a proper answer because not even Oda understands his terrible retconning of the breath of things).

"Breath of all Things" is just a retcon at this point. Initially it was the concept behind cutting everything and nothing, but then that became Armament Haki, which is completely different than what the "Breath of all things" principle evolved into, which is Observation Haki.

we don't know for sure if it was retconed

zoro's breath is based on the concept of ryou flow

that was not just basic armament, normal armament is very simple you just have to force your will, while the flow is more technical than that. luffy said it when he was training for ACoA

zoro said it's a power to cut steel is the ability to hear the breath, he would only use it when he needs to cut very tough things like (daz bones, the sea train, kaku's tekkai, kuma) it was a complicated process that zoro could only use it in near death situations or after deep concentration

zoro was in a near death experience and got a haki bloom, made him able to flow both armament and observation at the same time

we leaned recently that you can coat things with CoC just like CoA, it's completely possible that you can coat yourself with CoO too and zoro did that that's why he was able to hear the breath of all things

The idea of breath of things turning into flow is the retconning. Everything else, just like people trying to give Zoro advanced observation because he felt the breath of objects, are the attempts to forcefully give some sense to the subsequent inconsistencies. The breath of things was one power alone, Zoro could cut steal because he could hear its breath and connect with it to begin with; then Oda completely messed up by turning it into haki in spite of making zero sense, hence why now Zoro is assured by fans to have awakened absurdly early (including narrative-wise) TWO advanced forms of powers the monster trio trained the basics of during the timeskip.

For real, don't try to force some sense into this mess. You can't do it, noone can. The breath of things was that, the breath of things, and clearly never, ever depicted as a form of armament haki; which is why it makes zero sense as such as it never addresses why the haki needs to hear the breath of what you're going to cut to do so, or why it won't affect things it isn't meant to cut, or why it can hear the breath of inanimate objects when not even future sight works as such; and so on.
