Controversial Demon Slayer is mid.

I watched season 1 and couldn't believe how mid it was, for a popular series to have its first season be that bland is very very hard to do. And so I thought, fuck it I'll just watch for the art alone. Then a bunch of people started hyping up S2-3 saying it's on another level. I fell for it hook line and sinker, it was disgustingly mid again.

I almost want to say it's ass, because it's a cookie cutter shonen released 2 decades too late. So unambitious that I guess mid is the only way to describe it. Tbf its target audience is probably 12-13 year olds.

Tanjiro is mid and so is most of the supporting cast, but Muzan is a great villain tho

That's basically the target audience of Shounen either 13 years olds or 16 depending on the series

it took Demon Slayer to finish its whole story and develop bunch of characters as much of time as it took Loda to write Wano arc

imagine if toei took their time instead of a weekly release
to put out a decent product.

I whole heartedly believe that if they just did one episode every two weeks the quality would go through the roof.
