In terms of narrative this makes absolutely no sense.

Early on Mihawk was established as Zoro's ultimate goal, and throughout history Oda has intensified the meaning of being the strongest swordsman. In the beginning he was placed on the side of the Shichibukai, today he is placed above the Yonko, he is the man who accomplished what legends did not.

After what Mihawk says to Zoro in Chapter 52, it makes absolutely no sense for Mihawk to lose to someone else.

It has
Yall used to say why would the n2 kill kaido when its the mc fight and luffy should do it
So again? Why would a side char that s about to get bodied by bb defeat a mc s dream?
Because the MC already is on the level of an yonko. Another Yonko wouldn’t be a step forward anymore. The next step for Kid, Law and also Zoro would be an yonko.

My point is that Law should fight mihawk specifically because Cross Guild is a yonko crew. Not because Law wants to be WSSM.

Zoro won’t fight mihawk because zoro only fights right hand men, and Mihawk isn’t a RHM, unless you think Luffy will rematch Buggy.

Because Zoro only fights RHM, he needs to become WSSM by beating Gandhi gorosei, who will somehow get the title.
Gandhi being the shadow WSS would be an even worse plot point tbh. It would crap all the reputation of Mihawk and his latest portrayal. Zoro not fighting Mihawk and not being the one to defeat him while relegating it to a dude properly introduced 10 chapters before OP ends is something not even Oda with LSD, mushrooms, speed, meth all mixed together would try to conjure up.

Tbf having thought of it I can see where Kid and Law fans were coming from.

They had to watch Law cry, crippled, on the ground while Luffy stepped in and achieved his lifelong dream of beating Doflamingo. He’s not even going to be the one to achieve his new dream, Robin will do that.

And we know Kid is getting no nearer to achieving his dream of being the Pirate King than Don Krieg did in East Blue.

So it’s understandable that they think that Kid and Law might get to steal the goals of Luffy and Zoro. Alas, that is the difference between the two pairs, the main characters get to achieve their goals. The side characters only get to cheer in the background and get tossed characters like Big Mom that Oda simply wants to get rid of as quickly as possible.

That’s what y’all said about big mom. One piece is a fluid story, not everything is pre planned.

Gandhi has to be the shadow WSSM. Y’all need to stop putting mihawk on a pedestal and just accept this.

Imu is the final villain
Gandhi is proving his strongest subordinate

Mihawk being Zoro’s final fight is impossible.

Mihawk WILL BE stronger than your favorite character and here's no way for you to cope around it

Turn your brain on

The gorosei are the gods of the one piece world. They and Imu literally run the world.

Exactly where does Mihawk fit into this? Is Mihawk somehow Imu’s secret brother or some nonsense like that?

The WG is the main antagonist. Everyone else is a fraud.

No, BM vs Law/Kidd was ALWAYS going to be a toss-up. It was the battle that had the most uncertainty to it exactly because it did NOT involve a SH whose fates are generally predetermined.

But the themes were still very clear. The Top 3 SN in Wano paving the new way for changes in the New World. Them toppling the old era in favor of a new one.

Can Oda take back over a thousand chapters worth of build up? Yeah he can. He can shit on Zoro’s dream to beat the WSS for his title and give more narrative importance to Gandhi. But it’s very unlikely as he keeps following a specific pattern for their dreams and they always remain consistent.

I don't care about any of that shit. Mihawk isn't an underling of the WG. He doesn't have to fall before Imu or the Gorosei. I actually hope Mihawk is the final fight in the story just to make you more butthurt.

So long as Zoro defeats the WSSM by EoS, it doesn’t matter if mihawk is or isn’t a fraud.

Gandhi has and has always had more importance than mihawk. HE IS ONE OF THE SIX PEOPLE WHO RUN THE WORLD.

I don’t care one way or the other

just pointing out that this idea just isn’t in congruence with Oda’s formula.

So simple then. You have Ghandi take out Mihawk. You don't do roundabouts. If Mihawk is set to fall by the hands of a character outside of Zoro,it will be an enemy Zoro will directly fight. Not the enemy that won the enemy that beat his dream placeholder enemy from the beginning of the time...
Not only it is but it sounds trash as well.

WSS title acquisition has nothing to do with main plot of the story. Zoro beating Mihawk and Gandhi being important are mutually exclusive.

As for Law, he has zero interest in the WSS title. He has more important themes to carry, and probably more important battles to partake in later on. But Law vs. Mihawk is about as likely as Shanks vs. Zoro happening, I.e. 0.1% and only if Mihawk’s VA fucks his wife.
