Powers & Abilities Shanks: Swordsman or Not?

#45
The real question is this:

Which Shanks-fan argument is a bigger cope?

A) Mihawk's title is about how masterfully he can swish his sword around in the air
B) Shanks is not a swordsman
A tough one for sure, since both are equally funny. The former implies WSS is a dance recital; the latter features glorious arguments such as "Blunt sword attack not a slash"

Like Roger, he uses haki to crush his opponents, not cutting skills.

Oda has already said twice in the manga (through Daz Bones and King) that having a sword is not self-sufficient to be declared a swordsman.

Daz Bones didn't have a sword.

King had a load of other ways to fight apart from his sword

Shanks has ony fought with a sword for over 30 years

What in your pea brain makes you think they are comparable ?

Imagine thinking that an attack that came straight out of a sword can't cut people

You might surpass Ndule and Erkan soon lmao
Roger and Shanks literally don't cut and is that happens in the manga.

WB bisent was also a blade, but he didn't use slashes, he used his weapon to channel his earthquakes

Fujitora also doesn't use his sword to slash, but to channel his gravity power

Roger and Shanks are using their weapons to channel and shoot with their CoC powers, as we can clearly see in the panels that Roger and Shanks attack
