Holy shit, this thread's still going? Alright, here we go.
Let's flip the premise; Sailor Moon's written by a woman. It has a majority female cast, with strong themes, cool designs, and it's critically acclaimed. Would we be having the same discussion about whether Naoko Takeuchi is sexist for her series lacking male representation? Why is Tuxedo Mask so "cool and handsome" when there are plenty of different male types and traits that could be there?
My point is: Who fucking cares? Why are male authors held up to such critique and higher standards but we don't do the same the other way around? One Piece is a Shōnen: A demographic term for manga and anime aimed mainly at early to late teen boys. Generally speaking, it's gonna have a variety of male-types, cool fights, and hot ladies with nice titties and asses.
One Piece is definitely the biggest offender of this in Shonen overall; Naruto and Bleach have vastly more types of women. But if it's not your flavour, then go watch or read something else.
Debating this is a waste of time. I'm sure there are plenty of series' out there that shit all over men and stereotype them, but I couldn't care less. I just don't watch them, they don't appeal to me. One Piece does, so I'm chilling and enjoying the copious amounts of fanservice. I am very happy Egghead has made Oda into an ass man.
