Chapter Discussion If Imu is Lily, they’re probably not Luffy’s final fight

And why is that?:queenhear:
It’s like saying All Might will be Deku’s final boss, or that Dumbledore will be Harry Potter’s, or that Gojo will be Ittadori’s, or that Yoda will be Anakin’s.

Shanks is clearly an instance of the “big good” trope like those character mentioned above:

So saying that he’s the final villain is a little silly.

Oda doesn’t like to draw Luffy fighting women.

Despite this, the world government is obviously the final boss of the story, literally everything in the narrative points to that. It wouldn’t make that much sense if a pirate like Blackbeard or Shanks were the final boss. At least in my opinion.

So is the final fight set up to be a holy knight? Akainu? Someone we don’t know? Uranus itself?

He isnt Lily, the Gorosei outright called the Nefertari traitors when nobody but them was around.

No thats like saying Rayleigh is the big bad. Shanks is not Luffy's mentor and never was. You are confusing character roles here.

And its very obvious something is off about the character. I dont need to explain why.

Assuming that the Gorosei would know there boss is Lily.

But there’s no reason to assume that.
They clearly do, dont tell me you bought their bs of them not knowing lmfao.
Lol at this Lily=Imu cope. We literally see Lily passed a letter down that caused Cobra to ask enough questions to be eliminated.
This as well, why would Imu be passing down letters to people informing them of sensitive info?

And there's what the gorosei said.
This would matter if we actually knew what was in the letter. It could literally say something like “beware the D. clan” or some shit.

You guys do realize these are the same Gorosei that knew Luffy had the Nika fruit for 1000 chapters without doing anything?

There’s no reason to think Im would confide his identity to them

Because Im wanted their brother to hunt the D. clan members?

Heck, we don’t even know if Lily was the one who had the letter be passed down.

You can’t make assumptions about the contents of the letter.
You say cant assume and then you go and assume that it was telling them to hunt D clan members. But also like we've seen no D clan hunting in Alabasta or anywhere in the world.
