Episode Discussion So wtf is wrong with Toei and the people approving this?

Like honestly. This absurdly oversaturated animation with an overload of special effects and color, coupled with the caricatural appearance of the characters, stretched out through filler content, to display very simple and minimalistic manga scenes. I'm not watching the anime for that specific reason, but wonder

1) wtf is Toei doing and
2) why tf do people enjoy that bullcrap?

Imo they go all in with the auras, lasers and light show in order to not put further effort into actual coreography and animation.

This

Chapter 1035 had a considerable portion of close quarter combat between Zoro and King, but they know it's way easier to make overdone animation scenes and fill it with auras, cubes and huge ass explosions completely out of proportion rather than drawing good looking melee combat scenes.

But they literally did animate solid melee combat scenes. What episode were you watching????
