What makes you like a character?
Personally, I like characters with a backstory that moves me. People that suffered in the past but managed to transcend it. I don't care much about power, but for some reason I find myself attracted to characters who wield fire, which usually makes them pretty strong despite my not caring about it...
I like when a character is complicated. Torn within between good and bad, or having unsolved family issues. I like when there's mystery and even holes in the story, which I can fill with my own imagination.
All this, I find in Arbel. After I thought him an uninteresting villain throughout the arc, it was shocking to suddenly find all that out even as he was defeated. That shock, together with his very handsome face, made me simply fall in love with him head over heels.
