But based on what are you basing that a captain is much older than his crew? Its pretty arbitrary. Luffy , doffy , law are all younger than members of their crew for example. Roger and ray are of same age.

As said, Xebec was around well before of their relevance and hasn't the buildup of a rival, but of an enemy.

Well duh, that's because Kizaru is just him

Besides we do have a somewhat comparable case in the form of Ryokugyu capturing Weevil who was compared to young WB, and I've seen plenty of skepticism aimed at that feat, to the point where people were saying that Ryokugyu used hostages against Weevil.
