Bruh come on some common sense.. Luffy first usage of a massive power up AdCoC is not going to be used in tandem with CoA Barrier on it's reveal.. The whole chapter was to focus on AdCoC.. Seems pointless too, there would 2 layers, they don't fuse together.. lol

1. Luffy learns how to flow his haki and create the barrier to use it defensively and offensively.

2. Luffy learns that he can infuse his attacks with supreme kings haki.

luffy uses ryou barrier to do internal destruction but also combines adv coc with it…. It’s a combination attack

Wouldn’t it make the most sense for BB to scout out the route closest to Hachinosu though?

Maybe, but he was also at such a distance that he had not returned to Hachinosu after his fight with Law by the time SWORD got there. That would imply some time lost in the travel distance. And Garp took off from the military base near Egghead (where Doll was stationed) and ended up on Hachinosu within that timeframe (presumably, the timelines a bit wonky). I'd have to comb back through to figure that out.
Blackbeard also could have been operating on the premise "well idk who's coming off Wano or when, but if they wanted to travel the furthest along the GL in the quest for One Piece, they'd probably end up at Winner, so I'll go over there" rather than operating out of comfort of proximity.

I see the rationale for either case to be honest.

Isn’t Hachinosu further ahead in the New World than Elbaf? Law picked the route to Hachinosu at the end of Wano because that one sails directly further into the New World, while Egghead is on the same longitude as Wano, and Elbaf was between the two

We have no idea what Law's route was though?
