Why do people downplay an admiral because he wasn't shown or named? People make arbitrary gaps for admirals. Xebec was just too much for an admiral, as are the Yonko..
Because we know nothing about this Admiral who was killed 60 years ago?

This admiral could scale to Kizaru, Zephyr or to Gion and Tokikake because those two were meant to be admirals as well before Fujitora and Greenbull beat them to it.

You see Kizaru taking G5's high end attacks and blud was left with no visual injuries. What Xebec showed so far, do you think he's easily killing Kizaru like that?

Also, wdym by "as are the Yonko"? A Yonko factually failed to beat a mentally restricted admiral in Egghead Island.
Another admiral bested Old Garp in pure punching power AND Haki as well. Did you ignore this, too?

Furthermore, it's canon that Akainu's navy got significantly stronger than the previous generation. Isn't it maybe because the new admirals are also pure monsters?

Referring to wb as being superior to him
Whitebeard was the supposed strongest yet man in the world, Mihawk was testing whether that’s true

Mihawk’s title is WSS, he doesn’t automatically think he’s stronger than the strongest man in the world… But he does automatically think he’s stronger than every swordsman in the world. That’s not going to change

CoC: Color of Clowns

"Oh YESSSSS, MY CABBAGES, HARDER!!!"
Tbh i dont even see the ID ones betraying him. They practically owe him their lives and Shiryu essentially joins him out of respect

The only questionable one is Kuzan, but even then Im not 100% sure
I think Kuzan actually likes Teach and a lot of the Crew.

IMO, I think Kuzan is even willing to let Teach get Pluton, because Kuzan, after Ohara, Lulusia, and Egghead, should have enough brains to know how the WG will use Pluton: to blow the crap out of islands/organizations that fight back.

If Kuzan gives the WG Pluton, he's effectively dooming the modern era.

Teach, on the other hand, isn't a mindless murderer. Like, look at Drum Island compared to Zunesha or an island Linlin attacks: Teach is much less destructive than most Pirates.

Teach wants to rule the world, not blow it up. He wants to use Pluton against the WG.

The One Piece, tho? I think that's where Kuzan draws the line, and that's his actual mission from Sword: to find and secure the One Piece.

I think after Marineford, the top Marines discussed the New Era, and realized they needed an actual force going after One Piece. I think Akainu and Kuzan's fight was over who would go after Teach, and that Kuzan actually won.

Rocks was literally begging for herald to join him
He viewed herald as someone even stronger than WB n Shiki
And Loki killed the enhanced version of Herald

Gaban shitted his pants thinking about Loki
Loki was defeated by Shanks in a fair way or not?

Cant believe this fanbase just argues and argues over sword nonsense all day, without enjoying the actual intent of the chapter

This page is by the far the most interesting thing Oda has drawn this week.

Like you dont actually see their dialogue save for the beginning and end, Oda has to tell you what Rocks possibly said to him and tying that back to Davy Jones.

Its just a fascinating dichotomy between the entity that has all the power and the one that desires it. Both characters were also namedropped around the same time.

Its making me feel very differently about Blackbeard as a character too. Fingers crossed this Flashback just fully tackles God Valley but I have this feeling Oda's gonna just continue with Loki lol

I do also like his designs for his initial 6 members, I always enjoy those character groups spreads.
