Wano is an arc involving most of the major forces in the world of one piece, 2 Yonko, 7 Worst gen members, Marco, scabbards among many others, but such a crowded arc leads to some other characters who could be involved in the plot being completely ignored, so this thread is to talk about the forgotten ones in the land of Wano

1- The Weevil plot

Weevil(and Mrs Bakkin) was originally mentioned to be chasing Marco, and were ready to meet Luffy to have some infos concerning Marco and the Whitebeard remnants

With Marco himself claiming it to be dangerous if he left Whitebeard's island without protection when Weevil would certain come for him

But Marco ended up coming to Wano anyway with no clear safeguard protecting his island.

So what happened to Weevil exactly ? Last time we saw him, he was surrounded by marines.
- Did Marco involve himself because he thought Weevil would be busy due to marines chasing him ?
- Did Marco somehow defeated Weevil off-panel ?
- Did Marco leave a safeguard(a Whitebeard pirate ?) to protect the island in his stead ?
- Or was this plot point simply ignored by Oda ?

2- The Worst generation crew members

Another thing i question. When introduced back in Sabaody, all the SNs were presented with their crews like the Strawhats. But in Wano they are completely neglected

- The heart pirates got completely ignored all post-timeskip with Law doing his adventure with the SHs, starting the alliance all alone, were completely useless during Jack's raid on Zou, and now that we finally think they could help in this war against Kaido, somehow Oda found a war for them not to participate in the battle

- Last time we saw Hawkins' crew was probably here, with Oda presenting Faust as a mink in an SBS, never to be seen again, much less the others

- We don't even know the name of one member in Apoo's crew, with them being so background characters, you can't even notice if they are actual characters or not

- Same goes for Drake's background crew

3- The Big Mom Pirates

Another crew completely neglected this arc. Oda literally used them as running gags by using the same waterfall plot point to kick them out of the arc. Marco even literally claimed the next time, they'd come, time will shift

And seeing how Kaido is changing Onigashima's location, it seems likely that Oda will use another running gag, with them arriving at Onigashima's former location, with nothing in sight. Only Perospero escaped that faith due to his story with Pedro and Carrot.

Oda should have just left BMP at Tottoland
Have Marco come later coz currently he seems lost.

WorstGen crews are a disappointment except kidd who still has killer being shown with him.
We haven't even seen heat and wire again

Or perhaps
BMP will Coast by Wano shore when grey see onigadhima floating
Then we can have fights like :
Daifuku vs Sanji
Smoothie vs Zoro or Jinbei
Mont d or vs Ussop and co

1.) :whitepress: No.
2.) Wouldn't mind seeing more of them.
3.) They all should have gotten offpaneled by the Marines or Blackbeard. Bringing them to Wano could very well be Oda’s greatest mistake as a writer.

As for the topic as a whole, the problem is Oda just bit off more than he could chew for Wano, and it shows. There are simply too many characters for him to handle properly.

1) Weevil should straight up have never been created.

2) The Supernovas have been handled too poorly to even matter anymore, so Oda might as well drop them.

3) The Big Mom Pirates should have just stayed at Whole Cake Island.

There are way too many characters for Oda to handle in Wano, so he should just focus on the important ones (boring as they are).

1.Honestly I don't know when will he pop in the story again and also since he is dumb brute,in the end he will be redeemed(BB might clap him in the future),while his 'brain' will be punished and probably apprehended to the marines. Also I expect him to be very strong.

2.I hope that Oda will at least give chance to the top 3 of each SNs crew to shine a little bit,let them fight some headliners or BM ministers, since there are plenty of them.

3.They will join the fight in act 4.I am exited to see Smoothie,Snack/Amande(they are shown on BM ship in the anime) and Compote in action.

The worst offenders are Drake’s crew. At least you can say that Apoo and Hawkins’ crews are fighting alongside the BP still since their captains haven’t left the BP yet, but Drake has been kicked out of the BP for a few chapters and yet we have not seen any of his men joining the alliance

I am still very disappointed in how Oda has handled the Big Mom Pirates up until now. He brought along a whole force just to have them twiddle their thumbs and do nothing outside of Linlin and Perospero. It just means he didn't have the foresight or desire to do anything with them. That's a rather careless use of so many major antagonists. Even Perospero's use feels under-utilized, as he's seemingly there to provide pay off for Carrot's character by having her and Wanda beat him to avenge Pedro, even though Pedro willingly sacrificed himself for the greater good. If it were just about giving Carrot a moment of shine, there could've been other methods for that.

I'll reserve judgement on Linlin since she clearly has more left on her plate, particularly through her ties with Kaido.
