Why are you blocking was after Zoro awakened Haoshoku coating and was winning quite handily. Near the beginning of the fight we had Zoro questioning if he could win. I don't recall Zoro telling King near the start of the fight that he wasn't in his level or similar.

I don't actually see this happening. The way Lucci spoke about himself and Borsalino, it seems like he's much stronger than the VAs. Oda isn't going to have him be replaced by a character of inferior hype. IMO Luffy nailed the coffin on VA hype.

Current Zoro minus Haoshoku coating is roughly the version of Zoro King was ragdolling. Serious, maybe. Zoro said that Luffy really underestimated him, so I don't expect it to be difficult. Not sure no. But this chapter doesn't invalidate it. If Saturn doesn't fight in this arc, his strength...

King was rag dolling Zoro in Base as well. Base King performed better against Santoryu Zoro than it seems Lucci is holding against Nitoryu Zoro. I don't think blocking a weak attack means much is all.

That wasn't even a named attack though. And Lucci didn't parry it, he just blocked it and was pushed through a wall. Let's make this argument after Lucci actually parries or blocks a high end move from Zoro. A random Nitoryu slash is something Kamazou could easily parry.

Base Lucci though, and Zoro failed to draw blood. Both are in their weakest forms right now. We might see a full fledged fight.
