It just stamina issues like what law and kid said of course that did not effect them until full after there fight lol . Hell luffy went back into G5 after getting way more damage from Kaido so this pure stamina issues here to get him out the plot .

In terms of role in story sanji had a whole arc for him self in WCI and even more in wano . Zoro stronger sure and he get more cool moments but in terms role in story the will always be close.

I was always a fans of the Gorosei but there was not much talk about. When so many of the fan base had them as non fighters even with weapon and scars . I even put there old men they got to be awesome card that Oda does and get nothing for years LMAO .

They both can't move but luffy does look funny even more so with franky beating him up lol .
