Kaidou was a straight forward matchup though. Kizaru is the exception due to his speed/skill, that Luffy needs Gear 5 to compensate.
Whereas on the otherhand, Luffy needed CoC to match Kaidou blow for blow but he is fine against Kizaru without it (only used it now).
It goes both ways, both...
See the only the interactions between Gear 5 & Kizaru were
(1) Gigant Luffy grabbing Kizaru and throwing him off the Island.
(2) Kizaru's clones getting destroyed by basic Dawn Whip & Dawn Stamp (Gear 5 versions of Gomu Gomu no Whip & Gomu Gomu no Stamp).
(3) This offpaneled clash continuing...
The point is, we haven't even seen Gear 5 fully used here.
Luffy went to Raisin man mode, then instantly came back up against Kaidou too. He has been drawn using 3 Named attacks on Kizaru so far & we're trying to say that he went all out because the fight was offpaneled & Luffy went raisin...
That isnt working here though.
Gear 5 is not just Boundman, it is every Gear application before it on a whole new level in a single package.
There is honestly no argument tbh to say that we have seen everything out of Gear 5 & that Kizaru beats it when we actually havent. Offpaneling doesnt...
Maybe.
That doesn't change the point though.
Luffy is capable of using his previous Gears at an Island wide scale -> example being Boundman & Bajrung Gun.
Do you seriously believe that Luffy has used everything Nika can possibly do v. Kizaru... because the fight was offpaneled?
And you...
It doesn't matter.
There is an entire world between attacks at that scale & the attack that Kizaru took this chapter.
Fight being offpaneled =/= Fighters going All Out & that applies to both Kizaru & Luffy.
That is only if you go ahead and assume that Gear 5 went all out and didn't do anything to Kizaru.
He took the attack well, as expected. We still haven't seen the after math though & it's the first attack that Kizaru takes while Kaidou took damage for 60 chapters before that.
Sometimes people forget who Kishido is & get caught up with the spoiler thread chaos lol.
@Kishido 's probably been a fan of Sanji from before the times when most posters in this thread were in diapers.
Again, i'm not even gonna argue that it will work.
I'm just saying that Luffy going "all out" will be shown with abilities of an Island scale.
Saying Luffy used his best shit before that is just pointless.
It was part of the narrative there imo.
Luffy's strongest attack at that point being shrugged off by Kaidou like it was nothing.
While Kaidou's Roaring TB had Luffy desperately trying to hold himself together.
Nobody can tank attacks like Kaidou tbh, i'd be surprised if the finisher v. Kizaru...
OKG is this attack, buffed up & then infused with CoC.
Sure the punch thrown this chapter is also buffed with both size expansion & CoC - but it simply doesn't compare to Boundman's finisher yet.
Bajrung Gun >>> OKG.
Not this move though.
I never said that, i said that this attack was CoC the moment the raws dropped lol.
I said "Luffy didn't go all out", just like Kizaru didn't go all out either.
Nobody's discrediting Kizaru here lmfao.
I'm not being insufferable saying Luffy "beat" Kizaru. All I'm saying is Luffy hasn't gone all out yet which is factual - just like how Kizaru hasn't gone all out either.
This is current Luffy at his best.
Not the small scale shit we saw so far.
Yep.
This punch was like the G5 punch v. Kaidou but more powerful imo.
I wouldn't put it past even OKG though.
All I'm saying is that Luffy & Kizaru were both sandbagged until now & that neither went all out. But some folks want to desperately wank Kizaru over Kaidou that they assume Luffy...
