Zoro needs to defeat someone with a black blade, have his own black blade, and mastery of all three advanced hakis in order to be the strongest. Once he has all those things there will still be people who downplay him.
The live action is clearly intended for western children who haven’t read One Piece. That is why we have MCU dialogue because western kids still love those films.

That was beautifully animated. I love the gray scale the animators used. In the manga, Zoro stated that he went to hell. I wonder if that was supposed to be hell in the anime. I love how ominous the whole scene was.
