I dunno, but if Oda had plans for Zoro to lose an eye early on and then more recently said he was saving the eyepatch for something/someone special...:kayneshrug:
It would be kinda weird if Zoro loses an eye but some other character loses an eye AND has an eyepatch on top. Pretty sure Zoro is...
How does reading Poneglyphs help him in the strength department? And how come he was never called the World’s Strongest Swordsman? Or make black blades? He’s basically Nitoryu Zoro...
I remember back when people thought Law would recruit people from the future Grand Fleet at the end of Dressrosa...that didn’t turn out too well for Law.
Eh, seems like Oda has left narrative hooks to keep them from the roof though. Queen talking about Judge and Who's Who apparently knowing Jimbei. Seems like they'll deal with those fights and probably take care of something else (like the Birdcage/Alabasta bomb) until Kaido and BM are taken care of.
So you're saying I'm arrogant for recognizing how Oda has written Zoro's fights in the past and apply it to the Yonko fight? You think after Zoro's declaration about cutting Kaido to pieces and him putting on his bandana Oda is just gonna shuffle him around so he can fight someone else...
How's it hubris? Look at every arc where Zoro puts on his bandana. He stays in the fight until he/his team wins or he gets defeated. It's called pattern recognition.
Do you know what the word hubris means?
Zoro put on his bandana, so Oda locked in Zoro with the Kaido fight. Only way he stops fighting Kaido is if he gets KO'd for the rest of the arc (like against Mihawk at the Baratie) or victory (every other arc that he's worn his bandana)
Hitetsu mentions that only Oden could use Enma, but Oden couldn’t make Enma a black blade. Zoro turning Enma black means Zoro > Oden, since Zoro could do something that Oden couldn’t with the same sword.
Then there’s Kaido’s comment about a monstrous samurai.
We’re already getting close to...
Except there’s narrative buildup for Zoro surpassing Oden this arc. In WCI we had characters say they couldn’t beat BM without Zoro and the others, so there was no narrative buildup there.
I wonder how Kin'emon and the others would react if Hiyori actually said something like that after all the fighting is over. Would they get all pissed at Zoro, or would they congratulate them on essentially getting married or something? :zorothink:
