You asked me to replace you. Which I took to mean you had no intention coming back to the game - for obvious reasons. To not burden you with feeling like you had to come back, we opted for the modkill route. Which in the end turned out to be a one-night commute.
How was Joygirl's uncalled for?
If we left your slot alone it either forces you to post when you don't want to, or your slot is inactive and town lose due to that anyway. It *was* a modkill, but with how it worked it was revoked when you said you could play, which was the cleanest way to handle...
Again, we need to consider being fair to everyone. As it was *technically* a modkill, it being the night phase would have negated your actions then anyway. You returing to the game was not expected, it just meant we simply had the option to do when it came up. I think it was fairly handled, all...
No, it was there basically to kill Shidou. The image was that posted was the Kaballah Tree of Life, and the node that Kurumi corresponds to on that image is Understanding. It being Kurumi, you *could* feasibly suspect something with it, but it was designed to work against the town a bit, yes.
The Ekko one was pretty botched, but not much we could do. He asked to be replaced, we couldn't really sub anyone in that late into the game, we couldn't really use a dead player, so out of mercy really he was game removed. Later that day Ekko came back saying he can play, so it worked out for...
I can talk about it now I guess, actually.
@Joygirl -
So, I'll preface this by saying Joygirl's conduct in this game was rather poor. Every single thing that happened she would find a way to complain about, that it was unfair or whatever. And so it goes. You all saw the complaints around the...
I wouldn't really say this is *my* design philosophy, my intent wasn't to have Ali host a game I would have made with the flavour, but to help ensure each faction had a fair shot at winning. Which I think they did, overall - Quasi-Spirits Mafia probably the worst chance of any faction but that's...
Can't really nerf town roles here given the complexity of the game, so the countermeasure was having a solitary, but strong, anti-claim kill. Claiming resulting in kills being a mechanic isn't really new either, the warning was there in the OP.
Kagura only survived it because of the Mark of White. Was unfortunate you "won" it I guess, in the end, but that was the only way she could survive that.
I couldn't disagree more. There had to be a way for scum to take out threats/confirmed townies otherwise with the level of protection town had they'd have no way to kill their targets. In the end only a single role could do so and even that only after another role which didn't want to kill...
I did, I think considering the complexity of the roles overall the balance was actually quite good. I would agree it was probably more SRM than RM in the end, but I don't mind that either. I think town were unfortunate to lose overall, but the chances were there.
