I'm the biggest Sanjibro around, but me personally don't like Sanji having CoC because it means he got favored by the heaven/destiny. Reaching the top without that blessing is more interesting.
But then, if he had to get CoC, it's because of FS. So far all FS users have CoC.
Zoro's "sword fight" is better focused on Mihawk for endgame. So his Gorosei fight should not be Nasujuro.
If anything, to showcase the attack power of Zoro, him damaging Topman (which Luffy have trouble even with Red Roc that damages Kaido) is a fitting matchup.
It also acts as a confirmation...
If Sanji had a Gorosei fight, it's not fixed at all which one he'll go for (as the case with his BBP matchup).
- Saturn is connected via the Science & Defense theme, Sanji's power. Also fitting his fear of spider.
- Mars is connected via the flying archetype, same with Sanji's theme.
- Nasujuro...
Nah, Sanji already has enough connections & relevance for endgame, so anything new is not needed. Fire, Pudding, Wings, Neo Mads, All Blue, etc is more than enough.
For some people, mocking/trashing/looking down on something/someone made them feel good. Hence why we see a lot of these things.
The problem lies with the obsession level.
Saying X is shit for 10 minutes in various platform is fine. But doing it for hours, there's something wrong with them...
I don't mind Usopp having CoC, just to show that he is a heaven-chosen / destined people type of character.
The only actual problem I see is where, when, and how Usopp would manifest that.
CoC works by differentiating the power of the user vs the victim. And we know Usopp isn't that strong...
Specifically, a lot of Big Mom stuff is a powerscaling anomaly.
But in general sense, Oda's take on a character's base strength is always very chaotic/fluctuating.
> Idk how the diehard Sanji fans are coping right now
Eh, I myself see things the way it is, without exaggeration.
The outpacing laser scene, S-Shark's punch scene, saving Bonney scene, Kizaru's beam scene, and that Nasujuro scene is good enough panels.
As for:
- "stare diff & bite diff" ...
> I think Sanji is basically a device to diss Zoro.
On the contrary, Oda is using the common technique of "making one look bad so the other look good" with Sanji and Zoro.
Take for example, if everything Zoro isn't Zoro-Sanji but Zoro-Law. At first glance you don't see which one have privilege...
> Sanji’s timeskip mentor was Ivankov.
Why do people are adamant in thinking this to be canon?
If you want to shit on Sanji with trans/drag topic, there is already an actual canon picture/panel/page of Sanji with that kind of outfit.
Edit : If it's to compare the gap between Ray-Mihawk to...
On the contrary, not talking about it at all (no info) means Oda can safely write anything. If there are a lot of materials, there's higher chance of inconsistencies. Like DF stuff.
With TOEI on our side, we are guaranteed to get more shit scenes of Sanji in the future.
We don't need to do anything, the anime itself will constantly "show us the correct intrepetations" about Sanji's scenarios.
That's what I'm saying. For speed, his Mihawk is Kizaru. For cooking, his Mihawk is Big Mom.
You can go on and on. For example, for his fire, his Mihawk is Akainu. Etc.
My point is that Sanji doesn't limited to one, like Mihawk situation.
