Heroes heal faster than antagonists in One Piece as shown with how quickly Luffy and his crew recover from beatings and injuries while it takes days and a lot of treatments for the antagonists to recover. This is another form of plot armor it seems.
I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that the Calamities in reality dislike Orochi and that one of them at some point snap at him after he tried to command the Calamity near the end of Wano arc.
Once we return to the present I am really curious to see Orochi's reaction to Big Mom being here. I imagine that unlike Kaido she would not hesitate to disrespect and intimidate the cowardly shogun.
To be really revelant in the main story Bege's cover story has either to reveal the marines' new weapons made by Vegapunk or to end in Elbaf or another very important island.
My real disappointment with that chapter is that we didn't see Kaido trying to force Oden to tell him about the Poneglyphs contents and Raftel after Kin'emon made it clear that it was one of the main reasons why Kaido executed Oden and given how precious this knowledge is.
Oda certainely started great with Oden but the end was flawed with how easely Oden was fooled by Orochi for 5 years and how he still tried an opening with Kaido even if his end was a badass one.
I'd still prefer to see the marines not being on the same side than Luffy and the other supernovas (with the exception of X-Drake) plus I feel that Kaido and Big Mom are going to be separated from each other or that BM may get another mental crisis or O-Lin time.
To speak about the return to the present and future events of the arc I feel there will be another twist with BM similar to Mother Carmel's picture, her mental crisis just before she could go exterminate the Straw Hats and their allies during WCI arc or the amnesia thing.
I also expect the CPO...
