Majora’s Mask to me was perfect on accident. It had so many development troubles and budget limitations that it’s a miracle the game is as incredible as it is. Or perhaps it’s because the developers couldn’t spend as much time and resources on it that the game accidentally became something...
Curious as to how you guys feel about this topic:
I was in the camp that always said Nintendo’s desperate attempts to conjure up a Zelda timeline from thin air was bullshit. To me the Zelda games always seemed like mostly unrelated games connected by the IP and by the recurrence of certain...
I think it’s that I felt more immersed in Breath of the Wild’s world. It felt very grounded and like I really had to explore the world. Tears of the Kingdom felt like I already knew the world and whenever I needed to go somewhere I just shot myself into the sky and flew there. Which wasn’t...
@Sentinel call me crazy but man…I actually think I have fonder memories of BotW than I do for Tears of the Kingdom. There was something about the scale of Breath of the Wild that was just better for me…idk. Going to sit on it and see how I feel but I actually found myself itching to replay BotW...
Gotta give it to Nintendo though, they really know the value of sustaining a 40 year IP. If BotW and TotK didn’t have Zelda’s name on the boxart, I think sales would only be like 60-70% of what they were. Having critics and fans scream from the rooftops about how great your game is is one thing...
After beating Totk, I am convinced that BotW is the worst thing that could happen to Zelda. It’s like you said, I think Nintendo really learned all of the wrong lessons from that game. But hey, TotK sold a shit ton so what do I know lol.
I literally forgot every single Temple in the game...
Alright so my final opinion of this game after beating it:
This game is superior to Breath of the Wild in every single way, and yes, that was the best final boss in Zelda. I actually predicted exactly what the final boss would be believe it or not, as soon as I found out what happened to Zelda...
Holy fucking shit, Yunobo’s sage power >>> Tulin’s and Sidon’s lol, this shit is amazing. Finally I don’t have to keep fusing hammers to mine with, and sending him rolling through enemies is incredible.

Christ almighty, I can already tell I’m going to love the Fire Temple. The fight...
You haven’t played these yet????? Bruh. OoT was the original best game of all time and Majora’s Mask is imo the best Zelda (only rivaled by Tears). You need to stop what you’re doing and play these.
The Champion’s powers were one of the best gameplay aspects of Breath of the Wild for me. You had tools for combat and exploration that could be managed and used in real time, adding to the gameplay variety. Half the time I forget my sages even exist bar the occasional moment where Tulin busts...
Yeah I cleared the water temple and have done more depths and Hyrule exploration, etc…I stand by my initial impression that this game is far superior to Breath of the Wild and is even superior to Elden Ring for me. The depths in particular is the most fun I’ve had exploring in a video game since...
Update: Finally fused a weapon at 42 power. Many here have probably fused a weapon much higher but my next highest weapon is 29 so to me this shit is off the charts lol. Also found a decayed Royal claymore which looks sick as hell.
Depths exploration is still easily the most fun part of the...
1. MM
2. TP
3. OoT
4. SS
5. WW
The big question in my mind while playing Tears is whether it will be able to surpass Majora for me. It’s almost completely unfair to compare a Behemoth like Tears to a 30 year old game like Majora, but Majora just has that completely untouchable atmosphere to me...
@Sentinel @EmperorKinyagi @Toby D. Dog @Nikuzi @Buusatan94 etc..
Alright, I just completed the wind temple after being epically denied access at the entrance due to not officially investigating the Regional phenomena yet.
This my friends is what I have officially dubbed “a Hylian cock-block”...
