Not that big. He's like either perospero's height or even shorter and yet perospero is so small that he can ride around on Big mom's hat like it's a bus.... Kaido is supposed to be big mom's height right?
Nope. Their deal has nothing about that. The narrator even says "nothing changed" regarding the state if the country and that state included factories and slavery
Yes it was a deliberate choice but the problem is Oden isn't the guy who can handle being the only active player in this story at least as far as I can see.
It feels like this story would've done well yo have maybe Yasu or hyogoro or Toki as active participants if the Scabbards are to be...
I think the biggest problem was that only Oden matters. None of his scabards, the people of Wano, his wife or his children matter. Nothing they do actually affects this story of the flashback so by default Oden is supposed to carry the weight of this entire story
I think part of the reason...
Is there something to indicate he cared? I thought he intentionally did things to get kicked out of the capital?
This is strange because Oden said himself why he wanted to rehabilitate the place. He says he doesn't like the stifling nature and violence there. But you are saying that's not...
What are you saying here? Did he not turn Kuri into a well functioning area specifically because he didn't like all the death and violence there?
How is that not an act of compassion
Sure. They still mean different things though. That's just a list of the actions done but the meaning behind the actions is different
Zoro believed his dream is worthless if he let's Luffy die so his entire thing was built on what his dream means to him.
Oden here seems to be doing this...
Grown into what? Was he a whiny man in chapter one? No. Was he a man who didn't care for his friends in chapter one? No. He's the same guy he was in chapter one.
The only difference is that this is the first hug challenge he's ever gotten. This is the first time he's faced people who actively...
But the wrong actions speak nothing. They are just wrong. Oden keeps making the wrong decision over and over again. Of course him trying to save his subordinates is fine but what does that have to do with everyone else? Remember the Scabbards end up disappearing and Ashura actually becomes a...
I'm not judging the chapter, I'm judging the story entirely. Oden has not said a single word to explain himself or his goal and now we are being built up to from two chapters ago that the hour of legend is the climax of his whole story... As in, the burning alive is the highest point of this...
Nah Oden isn't heavily based on hercules. His supposed strength and mythical accomplishments are similar to hercules but thats where it ends... His actual story and personality are not like hercules at all
For Toki the only hope left for her is in the main story in present day. This flashback is aggressively just about Oden so no one else matters that much, not his kids not he Scabbards and not her.
I'm not saying she's alive or anything but this is flashback is definitely not where we get any...
Don't tell me the people actually change their view on Oden BECAUSE OF THIS????
Like Oden doesn't make any like moving speech or explain himself well enough or talk about like opening the borders is any good thing... No his Hard-boiledness is just sooooo MANLY that witnessing it is enough to...
