A romance needs time to develop throughout the series… and it’s usually (or atleast should be) done in the story as a slowly brewing thing that‘s on the side but never forgotten about, unless it’s a slice of life series where it is the focus. I think that’s how it should be.

There’s nothing wrong with it, I just mean that if people don’t really have in interest in what the main character is going through, I wonder if it implies bad writing?
Deku’s the main character, so the typical thinking (atleast for me) would be that he‘s the one people want to see.
A little fun fact I know: The concept that Hori originally had in mind for MHA’s final battle was repurposed for the movie (Heroes Rising I think).
To be honest, I think the fandom ruined the series. Toxic fans and shippers (the shippers ughhh), people threatening him for not doing something...
