IMO Oda wanted to have Kizaru handle Luffy casually so he could have this cliffhanger with Luffy coming back in his peak mode after getting packed but ACoC G4 Luffy getting low diffed on-screen would have completely shattered any kind of powerscaling consistency.

Fight getting interrupted might not mean that we aren't getting another round tho. Wouldn't be the first time that happens

My logic is simple Either we assume both Luffy and Kizaru are using advanced haki (ID and FS for Luffy and invisible barrier haki/ potentially FS for Kizaru) or we assume Luffy is only using basic COA and Kizaru no haki. Otherwise it’s too easy to push nasty agenda.

There is no indication Kizaru was using any haki so according WG’s logic this means Wizaru was just using his natural durability and reaction speed here. :kayneshrug:
