I'm aware of that, but we are Weebs, we are supposed to invest a lot into anime/manga, we feel bad about characters deaths. Of course that is dependant upon personal feelings and judgements which are subjective and can't be judged I presume.

To be honest I would have cried much more had Mirko died instead when she was in danger but I'm still very sorry for this loss.

Wow I feel pretty sorry for Midnight, she didn't deserve this tragic ending, but you know what, I feel like happy forced endings are bad and this manga series looks real which is a strong turn on.
