Dressrosa for all its faults was peak OP IMO, as far as narrative and villain was concerned at least.
Rest of post TS just got increasingly worse.
Wano had massive potential which was unfortunately squandered.

- had panels where Meledy was shitscared of her aura
- even defeated nerfed Zeref

Back in the days, their main hype came from being compared to God Serena. Serena solo'd Jura and 3 wizards far stronger than Jura, and was implied to be as strong as Gildarts. Recently, God Serena stomped a stronger version of Gajeel than who defeated Bradman.

All they had was the initial aura. They kept getting folded left and right like trash.
Aside from top 3, just leeched portrayal from God Serena, who was the true monster that was comparable to Gildarts (who again was wasted in the main series)
