Avatar the Way of Water was more than all right. The visual effects, and world building were absolutely insane. There is so much love that Cameron puts in his craft, and I also happen to have a hard on for the Ocean. Our director really knows how to set incredible action scenes too. The second...
Oda has hyped Zoro vs Mihawk for over 20 years so their battle should at least last a volume with no interruption from Kinemon, Momo, the Samurais, Law, the Worst Generation, the Dwarves, Yamato saying Oden, and etc...
Ironically, Its possible that Tashigi got a promotion after PH for rescuing the kids and finding the traitor.
The Tashigi slander of Coby being better was ridiculous. Its obvious a Captain can't do much against a Warlord (except Buggy), and even less against an Emperor. There were fans...
That pretty much sums up TS One Piece. Its flirts with great ideas like Nami, and Tashigi's friendship but Oda choses to focus on terrible things like Kinemon, Momo, the Samurais, the terrible DR side characters, Yamato screaming Oden, and so on.
Lol Kiri watched it twice in the theaters as well. Why do you like it so much ?
Ironically, Disney promoted Shang Chi the least, and its the one that succeeded the most with critics, and audience ( NWH is its own category). Talk about overachieving.
I am happy to see Chris Hemsworth is shredded again for the next Thor film which will not be his last Marvel appearance.
I hope Shang Chi gets to fight the Thunder god in the next Avengers with high level martial arts choreography :myman:
The Ten Rings vs Stormbreaker :steef:
Not to mention that Smoker's jitte is basically a real life Japanese weapon used by law enforcers which is rather fitting. Tashigi mentioned Nidai Kitetsu all the way back in Loguetown. Its crazy that Oda has not integrated the marine duo to that arc... Unless he has other crazy plans.
Maybe...
Months ago I speculated
Imho, I don't think Oda forgot the Poneglyph or the seastones. Speaking of which it was hinted all the way back in Alabasta that they could be found at one place.
Maybe he is saving that plot point for act 4...
Months ago, I speculated that Onigashima crashing would...
The villain played by Tony Leung was really good and a certified Dilf. It takes inspirations from Jackie Chan films but classic early Chinese 2000 films such as Hero and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon which are magical, romantic, and enchanting. The opening sequence was possibly one of the most...
I did not expect to enjoy Shang chi that much. Great action scenes, likable characters, humor, and a sense of travel and wonder. The MCU is really a well oiled machine.
