I can agree with this POV. It does make sense.
However
Having already bloated the story way beyond its original scope, Oda should've done a better job at at least hinting at the true nature of Luffy's Devil Fruit.
And by that, I mainly mean from the WG's point of view and their 800 year quest...
He gave you Enies Lobby as an example. It's a stronghold of the WG.
We sqw that a Buster Call made it there quick from Marine HQ.
If the Gorosei were competent, they would've sent an Admiral there an been done with it.
*pushes up glasses*
Nice try, baka.
But did you consider that the author is not important?
The story itself, being fully sentient, begged for somebody to notice all the subtleties it was hiding in plain sight. For somebody to grasp the idea the story (not the author) was trying to practicaly...
And yeah, Joyboy was first mentioned on Fishman Island.
Luffy being recognized by Zunisha as Joyboy 2.0 is yet another L of the whole Nika bs. Thanks for pointing it out again
"Luffy transformed before, so him transforming again proves G5 wasn't an asspull"
Flawless logic
If only it tackled the real issue with G5/Nika Nika, which is its completely out of the blue addition to the story it would be amazing.
Oda sure did a great job shadowing, foreshadowing, and...
That's a low bar to clear
Things need to be properly introduced and developed in order to make sense and not feel like cheap cop out power ups to beat the villain.
A thing that makes logical sense and doesn't contradict was Kaguya as well. Didn't really hit it off as planned, did it?
I get it now, the guy is having a meltdown for the following reason:
- We shat on his post, not agreeging that Oda's presentation of G5 was even decent let alone the greatest thing since sliced bread
- ILLogiko takes that as us disagreeing with the definitions of foreshadowing and shadowing...
