Eh, it's like Oda having Kid break out of jail then get captured off screen by fodder to be brought back I guess. :kayneshrug:
And it's a little unfair to compare the final boss of an arc, who only gets taken down at the very end to one of the protagonists who have to suffer set backs for "tension"
The thing is, it's not an inaccurate statement. Later in the arc Zoro will suffer a shitload more damage against his end of arc opponent. Will Zoro go from endurance level 10 pre-ts, to 2 in Wano, back up to 10 at the end of the arc? It's pretty obvious that Zoro fainted so he could eventually...
One thing I'm wondering - how do you think things are gonna play out at the end of the arc? Where do you see where Zoro is gonna be at the end of the arc? And I suppose where do you see Oden? Because there's set up for Zoro to surpass Oden by the end of the arc...meaning either Zoro is gonna...
Why would Oda make Hitetsu say that nobody tamed Enma if nobody even bothered trying? We don't get panels of Whitebeard/Kaido/Mihawk defeating every man/creature/swordsman, we're meant to take the title at face value - just like Hitetsu's statement, which is obviously meant to hype up Oden, Enma...
Why aren't any of these guys using Enma then? Hitetsu said that ONLY Oden, nobody else, was able to tame Enma. He then goes on to suggest that Zoro could go beyond Oden by making Enma a black blade.
Kawamatsu was singing the praises of the Grandmaster in this chapter though...he went from being against Zoro having Enma to that. Ashura Doji, Kawamatsu, and Denjiro were portrayed to be on the same level.
Ok, so...what was the author’s intent by saying “only Oden tamed Enma”? Was it meant to suggest that he was the only one who tried, or that he was the only one that succeeded?
Kinnemon, who was quite familiar with Oden, was shitting his pants in Dressrosa when Zoro was slicing Pica up. Notice how he stopped bothering Zoro about Shusui after that too?
Kawamatsu, who was also familiar with Oden, was amazed by Zoro’s show with Enma.
Also, Enma was forged at least 50...
Nah man, we don’t know if that’s true. We need to see panels of everyone in Wano trying it out.
Just like we need to see Mihawk beat every swordsman in the world but take WB and Kaido’s titles as gospel.
:kaidowhat:
He was just as hyped up as Denjiro and Ashura Doji. What makes him weaker than them? Another case of matching up with Zoro lowering power levels? :memehm:
