Agreed, it was overhyped by Oda and his editors. The problem itself with Wano is not regarding the lack of strong samurai ,it is the lack of a well written samurai and an uninteresting story regarding Oden and his retainers, that is why Wano is controversial right now.

100+ chapters and no kaido flashback... Incredible , even knowing Oda's past. At the beginning of wano, who would have thought that Oda would rather chose to focus on scabbards rather than Kaido who had the potential to be interesting.

I think the arc is 30 to 50 chapters away from ending, a year and a half perhaps .
