what doffy did was slice attacks from his strings which are just like daz bones' attacks on zoro ,which are swung at the opponents some of them are blocked but others effect the environment nearby, so they don't really function like hakai or Mihawk's air slash which are concentrated aerial...

he was using his hands to block no his swords and that isn't an arieal attack or a slash attack

he was stopping it clean on its tracks... if it was barrier haki.. zoro wouldn't have gotten gravely damaged even if he pushed himself to the limit to stop it

the primary credit goes to zoro for stopping the attack and buying time for law to make a room to Escape.. without that they all were done for. Besides i reckon law and Kid were formulating a plan that they consequently execute.. so zoro saved that as well
