It doesnt matter imo, what is truly at stake is the condition of being closer to PK, which is surpassing the WSC. Once Luffy surpass Kaidou and become WSC (a worthy boy for PK), Kaidou being dead is not a necessary requirement for Wano to be freed/saved etc.
