i believe even if he got him in gear 4 snake man form it would do relatively less damage.. but dodging.. gear 4 snake man.. prolly? idk coz its more of a fast offense gear.. based on pace where he gets his attack's momentum from..

.. what if the box on the roof where zeus is...
i am bamboozle me self man, i reckon just to bring out kaido's true form out... just a prequel to his new gear 5 or something, so that he ( luffy) doesn't get wasted by exerting everything he's got just to know that he can turn hybrid.., idk honestly ig just a preface but zoro's technically...
lets not forget luffy pounding kaido's dragon form while BM pisses herself on the sidelines, and Luffy tanks a mountain obliterating blast and credits it to his GUTS, and now luffy in his base teasing hybrid kaido for intentionally dodging red hawk
Bro luffy tanked a very lethal blow (coz when the attacks name has a weird cultish history u bet it would hurt).. luffy prolly and zoro too.. it more probable that zoro will get desperate to land a deadly blow and finish what he came for (to CUT KAIDO).. I'm hoping for a very lit ashura moment
Luffy is already higher than a top YC1.. who here is king, he'd be Mid admiral after Wano fosho.. it also kind proves my suspicion that SHP might end up being the next most balance crew
So after reading thr chapter.. it seems like like zoro stopped the attack for a solid 3-5 seconds prolly more...
now i got what point you were trying to make with that impact wave when zoro blocked it @Cinera... zoro definitely was putting everything into blocking it

thats IF HE got...
but good sir he wasn't even blocking the attack.. he was caught off guard by Roger.. if it was an attack he couldn't block and deflect with his physical strenght then he would have been decimated
well he dusted it off with minimal damage and kept up physically with WB.. that is physical feats... if u wanna go by the anime.. he was pushing WB's quake punch Lol
