@Shanal after thinking about it.. the whole advanced haki thing seems to be downplaying Mihawk as if if Shanks has these he'd be superior
i retract it.. whether indirect of fence or not.. other stuff like kicks and guns still valid tho
your ability to perceive is disrupted i mean duh you need an offense to really put some meaning to it.. and it does aid you but as a separate ability which is the point
the way i look at it.. is you have the 2 types of basic complementary and then you have the advanced one's...
you can call it indirect offense? but its definitely not something passive.. same hoe for FS its an asset but still a separate skill that complements it
but look this goes back to way with the blade being the skill with it.. ofc a top tier swordsman would great haki if not...
Didn't mean that.. me at that Mihawk > Shanks ain't a canonical thing even if WSS exists as a title with Mihawk..
Mihawk has never defeated Shanks in his duels and or proven that he still can
vuce versa in Shank's case is true too
I don't deny that they aid it but its separate is what my point is.. thats for basic CoO
but isn't CoO sabotager intentionally activated.. i mean its Coc at the end of the day so i doubt its passive.. it'd be too broken if Shanks could maintain it..
its can be superior and his way of the blade can be inferior too but we can agree that Haki is essential to swordsmanship
which can be dissected into
Haki, strength, skill with blade
basically swinging your sword in a very sophisticated way against yoir opponent .. haki just...
its cannot be taken into account when skill in swordsmanship is being considered.. definitely not
ik but its is a separate skill from his way of blade.. which is my point
Always been Shanks ~ Mihawk for me
don't mind Mihawk > Shanks its just it cannot be proven as it stands...
did the author mention an account of Shank's defeat..
or are we assuming Shanks lost a battle
or is it that him loosing an arm and not fighting again with Mihawk the bar we are using.
why would Mihawk want to fight someone surpasses Shanks if he has already defeated...
.. Bounties and informations derives from infamy is just face value information.. but realistic..
Mihawk vs Shanks isn't that obvious or straightforward
in OnePiece that's the most reliable but it depends how you wanna interpret what marines stated.. if you wanna take that as a solely skill ie; superiority in swordsmanship .. which can mean either that Shanks doesn't utilize anything else but his sword in combat not even kicks...
not that i think in story perspective of an organization should decide what is and what isn't.... its not a Info dump from the narrator so lets not treat it like that too
so to you it story doesn't matter.. sure
:kaidowhat:
unless you can prove it wrong i can take it back but...
thats irrelevant.. Marines never claimed any superiority of one combatant over another based off of assumption that all ik
if that was the case then they wouldn't have had Akainu and Aokiji duel it out and would have just blatantly said Akainu is superior and Aokiji should...
thats an assumption too... to us what matters is what shown in the story and marines are a circus atm with what's going on with Buggy and Franky.. even those have very dumb assumptions involved..
the questions is what are they using as a gauge to determine Mihawk is more...
