Why do you think Oda off-panel important fights? It's to save him the trouble to make up straight up powerscaling
Be prepared for when it's revealed Akainu only won against Kuzan because he had his own Flampe/Old hag distracting Kuzan during the final clash:yasu:
For the scabbards not to be at line of sight in this panel, Oden must have thrown them very far. And considering the state he already was in before doing this, could be an interesting strength feat:choppawhat:
Oden's flashback overall was ok. It was especially amazing when Roger and Whitebeard were involved, dropped a little in the confrontation between Oden and Kaido due to off-paneling and tricks involved, but with overall respect growing between the two despite being mortal enemies
And overall...
So Oden really survived the hour of boiling, but was already expecting to be killed(hence he passed down his swords = so much for people saying he was still believing Kaido/Orochi's words :wellwell:)
Definitely, Kaido became more interesting with this chapter after we heard he killed the grandma, but he still took advantage of the opening he got from her to take out Oden, which shows that while he has a sense of pride, he isn't a saint either
Talking about the grandma though, now that we...
For those who are wondering where Oden got the 20 years prophecy from, it came from the seaking
Remember this dialogue happened by the end of Oden's pirate journey 5years before the current flashback events, so the 20years make sense :optimistic:
Basically Toki in this flashback
:josad:
I sometimes wonder how dense people can be. I hope this will not become another misconception created by the fanbase :lawsigh:
Lol he forgets that it was only mentioned Oden came back much stronger from his pirate journey.
And among them, Oden spent 4years with Whitebeard and 1 with Roger
So the Oden we saw clashing with Roger at that point was at the 4th year of his 5 years of pirate journey already, with the final...
Lmao at thinking Oden was referring to the entire world. :lawsigh:Wano is an isolationist place close to outsiders. It's the purpose of opening the borders in the first place. It's obvious he was referring to Wano folks as he was the strongest wano fighter there by far
This part is referring to the final war
This basically confirms the final war will happen this year, with Oden using this fact to think the person who will do that(Luffy) will come through the new world and beat Kaido beforehand
I guess it makes sense
Oda: Kaido chased Oden to get the secrets of the World after he reached Laugh Tale
Also Oda: i'm gonna forget/ignore that plot point completely in a Oden dedicated flashback as if i never mentioned it before
:pepeke:
Meanwhile we get the info that even the 20years prophecy comes from Oden rather than the background character
Seriously what was Toki's point in this flashback? :pepeke:
