It's just too obvious that Big Mom isn't knocked out or done for and she'll come back soon enough if Oda doesn't drag the thing on purpose. And I am still 100 % certain that she'll return to Elbaf in the future.

There's nothing weird about it, I have always preferred Killer to Kid.

I don't think that I have seen an antagonist and character being held back and mistreated so much by his/her own author that Big Mom is. It's very cringeworthy and disappointing to say the least. I don't think even Fairy Tale villains are written and treated that way.

Kid could have been like Magneto or even Misaka in his use of his powers, it's really sad and disappointing to see his powers being underdevelopped and underused like that.

Yep the way he treats Big Mom is very bad and cringeworthy it's one of the reasons why a portion of my interest and love for One Piece faded.
