Mama switched from riding Zeus to riding Prometheus, she also brought out Napoleon. I'm guessing that she shifted to an offensive strategy of mainly using Zeus and Napoleon (perhaps because Prometheus is much less effective with Zoro around).
Yeah I get, but there isn't much reason to assume that Zoro tried to attack Kaido off panel and failed:
As I stressed earlier, 90% of the actions Zoro has taken on the Rooftop have been to protect Luffy.
While Luffy was out of commission it's unlikely that he launched any sort of offensive and...
My concern was that you described the Sanji fanbase as somehow conducting themselves better, and that is really not true at all. Sanji fans are no better at puerile insults.
Other than his first Rengoku Oni Giri, Zoro has only attacked Kaido to rescue Luffy. It's plausible that Zoro has been playing defensive and never launched a proper attack since then:
He needed to protect Luffy while he recovered his haki
After Luffy recovered he's been continuing to support...
This is blatantly untrue. Names the Sanji fanbase calls Zoro fans:
"Zorotards"
"Zorobrainers"
"Sword swallowers"
There may be others. Perhaps you don't insult Zoro fans, but I don't insult Sanji fans either, so insulting describes neither of the entire active fanbase.
Nah, he was talking...
I must say, this chapter is simply amazing. Even including the other Rooftop chapters, this really stands out.
It seems Luffy's offensive arsenal was rendered completely ineffective against Kaido's Hybrid form. Is Hybrid Kaido even more durable than Dragon, or did he start protecting himself...
No way. All of Itachi's character development happened after his death. "That should have ended it" is not plausible unless you completely retcon Itachi's character.
Hybrid Kaido and Mama working together could not defeat three and a half Supernova within ten minutes, and Kaido got injured for his trouble.
The half Supernova is Zoro because he's been carrying Luffy and so he could not fight anywhere near his full potential.
I'm not saying she can't be part of the group that faces Kaido. I was pointing out why I was previously not convinced that Yamato fights Kaido.
The way the prophecy was written and repeated, I think Oda depicted those 5 — and only those 5 — as the subjects. Oda could have others take...
Kaido's prophecy seems to have referred to those 5 in particular:
We see the exact same words repeated, and those 7 toy boxes when he made the first prophecy have the exact same position as the Rooftop combatants when the prophecy is repeated.
The 5 Supernova were the subjects of Oden's...
No, even with Mama helping him, Hybrid Kaido simply couldn't defeat three and a half Supernova in 10 minutes and got injured for his troubles.
It just suggests that Luffy's attacks were not successful. There's no indication that he couldn't use haki.
Because Oden's prophecy said the 5 SN...
Damn, there's a lot to unpack in the latest spoilers.
The Supernova have been fighting Hybrid Kaido and Mama for the entirety of the Dome Chapters.
Luffy has already completely recovered and has joined back in the fray. It seems that Oda completely off paneled the ten minutes that Luffy spent...
Has anyone in the Strawhats other than Luffy hugged Zoro?
Post timeskip, Zoro seems to only have notable interactions with a few Strawhats:
Luffy
Chopper
Sanji
Preskip he also had interactions with some of the others:
Nami
This was mostly in East Blue though
Robin
IIRC these were mostly...
Toki's prophecy was not about fighting Kaido, it was referring to the 9 Scabbards. Oden is the only one who made a prophecy about defeating Kaido, and the referent was the 5 Supernova.
Yamato doesn't have to fight Kaido to confront him either. She could confront him after he has been defeated...
