It's not very surprising. Oda will want to show Zoro's CoC at a moment where it will have the maximum impact. Think about Katakuri's- doesn't use it at all until nearly the very end of the fight where he symbolically embraces his true self and takes on Luffy as an equal. Zoro will be the same...

Two answers for this. Up until now, no. It hasn't had any use in the slightest in the fights against Chinjao, Doflamingo or Katakuri. It's effectively been a special effect. In the future, it should ge a second level of usage, like the other colours. With CoC becoming a dime a dozen, that'll...
