Yeah, its been pretty serviceable. The quick pacing is helping the arc a lot I think. Since the first half of seasons tend to be more stacked staff wise, I'm just hoping we are able to get through the majority of the action this arc before the production shows some real signs of weakening.
Season has been really solid. Not as good as the earlier seasons, but I think you could easily argue its been consistently stronger than season 4 and 5.
Episode was alright. For me, the direction wasn't terribly strong, so things didn't feel as impactful as they could of(combined with the overzealously manga accurate storyboard), but the animation highlights were really nice.
Kaminari and Jiro had their super wholesome scene.
Visuals for the OP are actually really unique and stand out a lot from every other opening. Honestly, the comic book art style with thick lines in the OP is better than the regular art style for the show.
I think again, this is more the production crapping itself. Its not much of a budget thing, since this episode had a massive staff list of 8 animation supervisors(Most episodes get by with 1 or 2) and it was still melting.
The flashback was genuinely pretty good. Its strange that they had them crumble to dust but still left them as blood chunks in the shots afterwards.
The redestro fight had some cool idea's, but was generally incredibly melty. Easily the leasy polished action scene this season.
I think this was more just bad planning than anything else. I think this is more of a case of the schedule finally catching up to them than them willingly letting it go to shit.
Again, you don't have 8 animation supervisors on an episode only for the first half to look melty, and for some...
I mean like, the movie was a better investment by a mile. Even despite Covid and all that, I'm pretty sure the latest movie is easily the most successful of the MHA movies box office wise.
First half of the episode was really rough. There was some cool movement in Shigaraki vs Redestro, but the art was very melty. I guess this was just the production falling apart a bit considering that they had 8 animation supervisors on this episode(you can have perfectly good looking episodes...
I think the Class A vs Class B arc was really solid animation wise. Hoping that MVA becomes more consistent. Right now, it seems they're mainly giving shit to freaking Dabi lol.
You guys see the layout controversy?
Like I think that they were going to get a little bit nerfed anyway, but they...
