Yeah it's not always about strength, Zoro is his right hand and Zoro even called Luffy his best friend, of course they're going to have parallels. Even if I do take strength into account, they're both set up to be top of the verse by EOS anyway, so it's still fine.

You're probably right, thinking about it, but I still feel like Zoro going all out as he was when he beat King can be a real threat to Kaido. The problem is that he can't sustain, but i think if was able to keep fighting like that for a prolonged period he could win

In the next arc there's always a power boost for the heroes though. Luffy and Zoro both got stronger from doing their fights, so them healthy next arc will be stronger than them right now.

Luffy smashed the shit out of his horn but that permanent damage isn't wanked as hard as the scar. KOH beat King easily, but he had to go all out to do so, AND it's not even something he can maintain yet. If he went KOH against Kaido, Kaido would get hurt, but he wouldn't go down to it and Zoro...

King of Hell Zoro is him going all out and he needed to do that to beat a YC1. If he has to go all out to beat a YC1 then he can't beat Kaido. You lost.
