D: Oda-sensei, you have assistants like other artists, right? Other manga you can recognize when stuff is obviously done by assistants, but when you look at One Piece from the first volume, it doesn't seem that way! Do you draw everything that appears in the art? P.N. Girl Who Reread it...
That's why I specifically mentioned ''control'', the ability can't be enhanced though training but it can be brought under control to avoid the indiscriminate leak so Rayleigh definitely implies there's still some way to get skilled in it besides individual growth/making it stronger.
Luffy and Zoro both learned a different way to apply their own haki and that's pretty much the only powerup they got in Wano, compared to Luffy learning that putting pressure on his legs makes his body go into overdrive in a way that none of his previous stretching in all his life had triggered...
At the very least I would expect Zoro to know something about it, there's a few ways to explain it away like Zoro not being awakened at the time and therefore it couldn't be detected or if it's truly part of making a Black Blade perhaps it would naturally and eventually develop in swordsmen as...
Rayleigh at least has the possibility to handwave that since he did train him to control CoC and explained it would grow with him+ the whole only in real combat will you grow excuse but in Zoro's case he literally knew nothing about CoC.

I don't think this is about Zoro having some profound understanding of CoC but rather CoC manifesting naturally since Zoro has decided to unleash all his haki without mentally worrying about risking death or needing to hold back and thanks to that he is also using the CoC he previously unlocked...
People shouldn't bully Sasaki and Who's Who too much for aiming high, just this chapter a bunch of literally who fodder genuinely thought they could even touch Zoro.
