Sooner this arc ends the better. A clean break into the next arc gives Hara a chance to do better on quality control. Whatever is next, I don’t see Qin going straight back to Zhao. The failed Gi’an Campaign cost them a year. Now is the time for Ou Sen to get to cooking on a winning strategy...

Also no confirmation Ri Boku was a lowly foot soldier at the time. It’s entirely possible and likely his horse died.

They’re inferior to the young generations of Qin and Chu, but Zhao has its own crop of young talent. Fu Tei, Ba Fu Ji, Fuu On, Kaine and SSJ are all relatively impressive. Ri Boku was a late bloomer too.

As consequential as this arc has been, I still do not fuck with the execution of it at all.

I still think he and Shi Ryou live, despite what the reports say on the latter. I like it too and it makes Kan Saro my favourite of the Seika boys, but if Shi Ryou really did die off panel, I still think it's a cop out from Hara.

The Ou Family has produced 1/3 of 6GGs. It's already absurd we haven't seen more of them, considering there's enough to warrant a main family and at least one branch family. Perhaps now is the time?

Full credit to Zhao winning. But there are slices of the blame pie to go around on the Qin side. Most of it with Ou Sen, some of it with A Kou. But Shin also deserves a slice of the pie. His poor judgment in over-committing to the the chase played right into Zhao's hands.
