That's my issue so far with Luffy vs Lucci/Luffy vs Kizaru.
Yes, G5 is his best gear but I also miss his other gears a lot. Or his newly attained Haki skills.
Show some FS feats, ACoA or even ACoC. Then switch to G2, G3, ideally G2 and G3 stacking. Then work your way with Bound Man and Snake...
Do you think Snake Man actually used G3 as well for King Cobra? I mean, his fist is far larger than normally. That would explain why King Cobra was that powerful in the first place.
Luffy is going to react differently than Oden. He will rely more on allies, he'll think twice about his choices. After learning his mistakes at the hard way, I don't think Luffy will blindly charge at Kaido again.
And the most important thing: not trusting his enemies.
Before he masters awakening, he should rather master G4th because right now his G4th has too much drawbacks (leaving Luffy defenseless, without haki, after the timelimit. Especially against Kaido, this would be very dangerous).
Of course Luffy still can do that but Luffy would definitely avoid getting those powerful hits again. Luffy's a battle expert after all. He won't make the same mistakes again.
Although I believe Law won't really fight Kaido head-on, he will be a very useful supporter for Luffy. Imagine, Law shambles Luffy throughout the fight to land sneak attacks on Kaido or teleporting him away if Kaido comes with an AOE attack.
Law is crucial important for Luffy, imo even more...
And imo, Luffy doesn't have to tank attacks. Because of that, Oda gave Luffy FS since this ability should allow Luffy to dodge 90% of Kaido's attacks. He doesn't give Luffy useless PUs.
Oda can simply explain Luffy's sudden endurance boost by saying "Kaido's Thunderclap hit Luffy's head which was very lethal for him".
And yes, advanced CoA should allow Luffy to damage Kaido even without G4th, otherwise his PU wouldn't be that useful.
Yep, Luffy definitely has an unknown G4th form as well, perhaps his strongest G4th form whose timelimit will be significantly shorter than his other G4th forms.
Also, Luffy has to do something against his timelimit. He can't obviously fight a monster like Kaido for 30 mins. That's too short.
