I think they both were on punk hazard and together broke Kaido out after Vegapunks experiments and together the three went on a killing spree escaping from the facility.

Nami didn’t believe Luffy could beat Arlong until she ran out of options Robin didn’t believe Luffy could beat CP9. We’re following the script and once Yamato sees Luffy return, surviving this one on one with Kaido and still believing he can win they’ll come around.

The way I see it. Coming face to face with Kaido is important, but just like Jinbe in WCI I don’t see this being a fight. I want Yamato to join the crew; but for that to happen means Yamato is willing to put their dream and hope in Luffys hands. Luffy saying that he will beat Kaido and Yamato...

Make it Man beast form just because Kaido likes starting a fight in dragon form before ending it in base. And sure screw it im down sounds like fun.
